Before the School Year...

Orientation night helps students become familiar with the classroom before the start of the school year, while providing parents with all the important information they need for the year.

Parent/Teacher conferences are held at the beginning of the year, open communications occur throughout the year, and progress reports are provided at the end of the year.

Spiritual Development as Children of God

Messiah’s pastor and deaconess have years of experience interacting with K-8 students in chapel services and classroom visits. They are equally eager to get acquainted with the preschoolers. Faith lessons will be part of each school day, and these will focus on Bible stories and kind, moral behavior.

Educational Excellence Leads to Kindergarten Readiness

The curriculum at Messiah Preschool conforms to the Ohio Department of Education’s Early Learning Content Standards. The goal is to ensure your child is ready for Kindergarten, and Messiah’s Kindergarten teacher will coordinate with the preschool teacher to ensure that all students are on the road towards Kindergarten readiness. Lessons will focus on developing basic familiarity with reading and numbers, and helping students to become curious, enthusiastic learners in both of these fields.

Social Learning Through Play and Routine

Socialization is a key element of elementary school preparation. At Messiah, we follow research that demonstrates that children learn through play and routine. Daily activities are structured to make learning fun, interactive and collaborative - allowing our students to become passionate learners and compassionate classmates. We love watching our students' confidence soar as their friendships grow stronger!

Facilities Promote Physical Development

Messiah has the advantage of access to a large attached gym. The use of this facility enables development of gross motor skills, as well as learning through structured play. Our preschoolers also have their own outdoor fenced playground area, and enjoy trips to the school garden, the church sanctuary, and other parts of campus that add to their daily routines.
