Specializing in urban mission from a Lutheran perspective, this small independent agency maintains a twin focus on social ministry and evangelistic outreach as complementary aspects of Christ's command to "let your light shine before others…." Messiah members contribute significantly as volunteers to Building Hope ministries.
Founded in the early 1970's by a cross-section of Lutheran congregations in Greater Cleveland, this ministry enjoys a strong reputation in the wider community for the effectiveness and integrity of its social ministries.
Messiah helped to establish this Association over 50 years ago and continues to be deeply engaged in its work and mission at
Lutheran High School West where Messiah students go to school, Messiah members teach and work, and a much larger number of members make enormous contributions as volunteers, leaders, and donors.
